La nivelul UE, sunt finanțate o serie de proiecte și parteneriate privind cercetarea și inovarea în domeniul afacerilor interne. În cadrul unor astfel de proiecte, participă și instituții din România.

ROBORDER aims at developing and demonstrating a fully-functional autonomous border surveillance system with unmanned mobile robots including aerial, water surface, underwater and ground vehicles which will incorporate multimodal sensors as part of an interoperable network. Our intention is to implement a heterogenous robot system and enhance it with detection capabilities for early identification of criminal activities at border and coastal areas along with marine pollution events.

ABC4EU Automated Border Control Gates for Europe. It is an EU wide project focusing in the need for harmonization of ABC gates. The aim is to make border control more flexible by enhancing the workflow and harmonizing the functionalities of Automated Border Control (ABC) gates, which are only one example of automation.
PROTECT Pervasive and UseR Focused BiomeTrics BordEr ProjeCT PROTECT’s primary goal is to build an advanced biometric-based person identification system that works robustly across a range of border crossing types and that has strong user-centric features.

TRIVALENT is an EU funded project which aims to a better understanding of root causes of the phenomenon of violent radicalisation in Europe in order to develop appropriate countermeasures, ranging from early detection methodologies to techniques of counter-narrative.

RAMSES the overall objective is to design and develop a holistic, intelligent, scalable and modular platform for Law Enforcement Agencies to facilitate digital Forensic Investigations.
